Nursing Information

Sarah Heffernan is our Nursing Director.

Welcome to Celestial Care!  You were selected out of many candidates as a good for us!  Our care is based on patient-centered care.  The patient or their surrogate is the main focus.

We are committed to patient safety, comfort, and appropriate physician orders.  We always have a chart with Doctors Orders available in the patient’s home.

We do not go beyond our scope of practice, and we always follow physician orders.  Our patients are the primary part of our care plan.  The time-honored tradition of a nursing care plan is key.

Communication between nursing management and our care team in the field is a priority.  Call at least once per shift, and more frequently if necessary based on the condition of the client.

It is important to update the supervisor on call of changes in condition, patient comfort, and any other concerns.  If it becomes a medical emergency, call 911 first and then call the supervisor on call.

Unlike some agencies, we are care-plan and physician-orders-based.  Communication is the most important part of our process.

Frequent communication with the nursing supervisor on call will allow questions to be answered.  Your well-being and that of the patient is Celestial Care’s top priority.

We are a private duty agency, and we do not accept Medicare or other medical insurances as payment.  Most of our clients receive 24-hour care, which is usually accomplished with 12-hour shifts.

We can be a very good alternative to a skilled nursing facility for those who prefer to recover at home.  We are able to provide a high level of medical care in the home utilizing our skilled nursing team.
